A website is operating and misusing the name of Amree Law Solutions Ltd.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been advised that a website at 'www.amreelawsolitions.com' in relation to 'Amree Law Solitions Ltd' is misusing the name and company number of Amree Law Solutions Ltd, a consultancy company run by a genuine solicitor (see below).

The website provides an office address of '111a George Lane, London, England, E18 1AN' and the email address 'info@amreelawsolitions.com'.

The website offers legal services in relation to the recovery of cryptocurrency funds.

The website 'www.amreelawsolitions.com' is not run by a company or individual that is authorised and regulated by the SRA, and any business or transaction through this website is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Harprit Dhanoa (SRA ID 520036), who is the director of Amree Law Solutions Ltd. The SRA does not authorise or regulate the genuine Amree Law Solutions Ltd.

Mrs Dhanoa has confirmed that neither she, nor the genuine Amree Law Solutions Ltd have any connection to the website relating to 'Amree Law Solitions Ltd' or contact details referred to in this alert.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
