Telephone calls made by an individual claiming to be Farah Ahmed and purporting to work for AL Hayat Solicitors.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been made aware of an individual claiming to be Farah Ahmed and purporting to work for AL Hayat Solicitors has been making telephone calls to international clients of the firm.
The telephone number used to make these calls is '0207 097 2363'.
Any business or transaction through the telephone number above is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor named Farah Ahmed (SRA ID 313514). The genuine solicitor Farah Ahmed has confirmed that they do not have any connection to the telephone calls referred to in the above alert.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called AL Hayat Solicitors Limited (SRA ID 628212). The genuine firm does not have a website. Its head office address is Miller House, 47-49 Market Street, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 7NS. It's contact details are:

The genuine firm AL Hayat Solicitors Limited has confirmed that it does not have any connection to the telephone calls and does not employ anyone named 'Farah Ahmed'.
