This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which will reach its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Solicitor. The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer in respect of allegations which are or include that Mr King:-

• Between 01/11/2022 and 24/01/23, prepared and provided correspondence to his client, knowing or believing that it would be provided to third parties, that was misleading as to the client's immigration status or position;   
• Between 28/10/2022 and 24/01/2023, whilst in practice as a freelance solicitor provided immigration advice and/or immigration services and/or engaged in reserved legal activities of conducting litigation when not permitted to do so;    
• Between 28/10/2022 and 17/01/2023, whilst in practice as a freelance solicitor, failed to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance whilst conducting the reserved legal activity of conducting litigation.  

The allegations are subject to a Hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and are as yet unproven.
